Written for my husband for Valentine’s Day in 1999:
You scratch my back,
and rub my feet
Your devotion unto me
complete
You glance at me
with lustful eye
How fortunate
in Love am I
You wink and I
reciprocate
Such playfulness
does liberate
I sigh and weep,
you hold my hand
It’s true, those who say
Love is Grand
My mind and heart
speak right to yours
You know to what
each song refers
When darkness comes
you hold me tight
My teddy bear
My armored knight
