Or something to that effect. My way of addressing things has always been to explain as much of the truth as I think she knows in a manner I think she will understand. My husband had his surgery just about a year ago and is 100 lbs down so far. I wish I had advice about telling your girls (my stepson doesn't live with us so it wasn't an issue), but I really don't. If your surgeon has a therapist on staff or even a nutritionist, I bet they would have some good advice. And good luck with the process - the surgery has been a blessing in ways I could not have imagined.
