Quick, hurry - say something funny, you idget!!!

Published by JustLinda under LINdiscriminate Drivel

(That’s me talking to myself, not to you - of course, I think YOU’RE brilliant and funny and all that.)

Help, I’m hyperventilating.  Can’t.  Breathe.

I’m famous.  F. A. M. O. U. S.  This month, I’m famous three times over.

1.  I was interviewed by a writer for American Baby magazine and the piece is in their December edition.  Sixteen hours of audio from me and she somehow boiled it down to two lousy sentences.  OK, well, maybe it wasn’t sixteen hours but seems like we were on the phone way longer than two sentences worth.  Hell, when people ask me a YES or NO question, I can’t even answer in two sentences!  I feel censored (and yet? famous, too).

2.  I was on the local news station yesterday.  Yes, it’s true.  The local Fox 2 news station is doing this dorky thing where people send in their special holiday photos from years gone by and I, being a big dork, sent in the one from last year where my girls and I (and the damn dog) are all wearing matching pajamas.  AND THEY PUT IT ON THE AIR YESTERDAY.  hahaha  My grown daughters were none-to-happy about that, but they mostly just called me a dork because, you know, I am one.  Famous, I tell you.  The most famous dork in my whole family!

3.  The Riverfront Times (local St. Louis newsrag) somehow made a clerical error and listed me as blog o’the week.  ME.  (Famous!)  Of course, the entry they put up is probably the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever blogged about but when you are a famous dork like me, well, those things happen.

So it figures that the month I become famous is the very same month where I have no time to blog and I seem to have lost my sense of humor.  Go figure.

Also?  This being famous thing isn’t really paying too much.  What’s up with THAT???

Maybe I’ll change my name to Famous Linda.

Edited to add:

THIS is the post that they featured.
