Hi Ho Hi Ho, it’s off to work I go…
It’s Sunday.
In about a half hour, I have to leave for the airport. I’m in London all week.
I haven’t packed yet. In fact, I’m waiting for stuff to finish in the dryer before I even can pack. A girl needs underwear, right? It just wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t leave it all until the last minute, huh?
It’s going to be a good trip, I already know that. First of all, I’m leaving today instead of tomorrow. My meetings start on Tuesday. This means I have a bit of time to shake off my jetlag. Secondly, a good portion of the agenda for my three days of meetings is covering projects and issues where I am in really good standing. So that’s good.
I should have spent time developing a dazzlingly funny post but it was a busy weekend. First there was that initial meeting with the marriage counselor. Yeah, I know. I’m not sure I’m ready to talk about it. Then we went to see Cirque du Soleil and one of the acrobats lost his grip and flew into my lap. OK, no, that didn’t really happen but we DID go see the circus and then we went to a 40th birthday party for my cousin and I was struck by how old everyone was. When did we get so old??
Surely this is the most boring post since the dawn of blogging but no time to worry over it now. I have to go check the dryer.
Here’s hoping for warm, dry underwear…
