What was said VS. what was heard…
My 2nd daughter, Amber (21) was home from college for the weekend. She stayed until Monday but then had to head back.
As she was getting ready to leave, her sister, Sarah (9) said “Amber, if you stay for just 5 more minutes, you can hear me practice my violin.”
So now we all know what was actually said. Care to take a guess on what Amber heard:
A) If you just delay your departure slightly, I’ll serve up a virtual feast for your ears!
B) I want my big sister to hear me play my instrument! I crave her approval!
C) Hurry! Run! You have 5 minutes to get miles and miles away! GO GO GO!
(If you chose C, you get a big DING DING DING… a 9 year old and a violin DO NOT mix!!)
