Inside the mind of a 4 year old…

Published by JustLinda under LINdiscriminate Drivel

Yesterday, we were at a sporting event where the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  My 4 year old didn’t participate and I wondered if her preschool ever had the children recite it.  So I asked.

Me:  Jadie, do you know how to say The Pledge of Allegiance?

Jadyn:  Yes.

Me:  Will you say it for me?

Jadyn:  The Pledge of Allegiance.

See?  She said it.  She knew how and she said it.

Guess she showed me, huh?

I’ve been a slacker of a blogger lately.  Is that a Slogger?  Or a Blacker?  Whichever is it, I’ve been one.  My week last week was busy from the moment I woke up until I fell, exhausted, to bed.  The UTI didn’t help one bit.

I got home Friday night and spent the weekend trying to be a good wife and mommy.  Saturday, I was with my 9 year old all day at Girl Scout camp.  Her trooped camped all weekend and I joined as a volunteer helper for Saturday only.  Then on Sunday we had a double-header softball game.  I tried to sneak in the bare minimum of cleaning and we did squeeze in a grocery store run.

To be honest, I’m still recovering from being gone so much lately.  The good news is that I don’t have another trip planned until June 19th!  I might have to do a quick NYC trip between now and then, but still… it’s an incredible feeling of freedom.

I have not yet done my taxes, so that’s way up on the list of priorities.  We’ve not yet taken the little girls to see the Bunny for pictures.  I’ve not shopped or prepared for Easter at all.  So much to do, so little time.

Right after Easter passes, we’ll have to begin preparations for our vacation.  Not just any ol’ vacation, but the first ever extended-family vacation.  My parents have rented a huge beach house in Florida.  My siblings and I, along with spouses and children (13 grand-kids ranging in age from 1 to nearly 23 years old, plus one in the oven) will share a single house for a whole week.  Can you just imagine the blogging material that will come out of that?  I can’t wait!

I have several blog posts in various stages of completion, but for now you’ll just have to put up with the boring drivel of my life.

Tell me again how I can quit my job and make a living as a full time blogger????
