Bad Linda, Sad Linda, Glad Linda
Bad Linda: messed around in the blog code again even though she has NO fucking business doing that and - oops - the entire admin console disappeared! Bad Linda!
Glad Linda: Yahoo? About whom I recently complained? They have these snapshot backups done several times per day. I was able to go see which file had changed since the last back up and restore the previous file over the one I mucked with. Glad Linda!
Sad Linda: I started this blog last summer and finally - finally - my blogspot address was valued at $44,000 and some change by THIS site (yes, I know it’s not really worth that, because if it was, I would sell it and stay home with my kids for the summer!). Still, it felt like I’d made some traction. Here I am at my wonderful new site starting over and guess what?

My blog is worth $0.00.
How much is your blog worth?
Sad Linda: starting all over, not on nearly as many blogrolls as she was with the old address, no Google ranking of 5, nothing to smile about at wholinkstome.com. Sad Linda (take pity, add me to your blogroll or subscribe me, make sad Linda into glad Linda!)
Glad Linda: to hell with all that depressing stuff above, because lookee this:

Ha! Monty (see her name there? click it because it’s a hyperlink even though it’s kind of hard to tell on my blog template which I probably shouldn’t go try to fix because refer back to the “Bad Linda” part of this post) (by the way, Monty has an awesome and very entertaining blog herself) picked me for a Perfect Post award! I feel like Sally Field when she won the Oscar for Places in the Heart and if you don’t know to what I am referring then you’re probably too damn young to be reading my blog. If that’s the case, then shoo, go away before my husband makes eyes at you and I have to kick him in the ding-ding (unless you’re interested in a summer nanny job, then stay around and tell me if you know how to make martinis) (and if you aren’t a nanny candidate and you are going to go away, maybe add me to your blogroll first? yeah, okay, it was a longshot).
See? I ended up totally on GLAD thanks to Monty (with a nod to Doctor Seuss on the insipid rhyming.)
Editing 03/02 to add More, More, More gladness and madness (but no badness or sadness):
Glad Linda: Dooce has toggled her comments on AGAIN. I’m pretty sure it’s because of me, since I practically planted the idea in her head in THIS post (and yes, I’m quite certain she is an incognito fan of my blog - probably going by the name “Blogalicious in Florida” or something - let’s not out her from her cover, OK? We’ll just make her feel welcome and let her wear her big Jackie-O sunglasses and that cool scarf that covers her head so she’s not recognized. Don’t scare her away, OK???)
Mad Linda: When I am at BlogLines, my feeds have that little symbol next to them about an error - they aren’t reading my updates. On this end, I think it all looks right but, then again, what the fuck do I know (if you scroll waaay back to the top of this post, you’ll see that I presto-chango made my entire blog DISAPPEAR yesterday by messing around in things I know nothing about). I know nothing about RSS people. Help me!
Still, if you add them all together and divide by 7, I’m way more GLAD than I am mad, sad, or bad. Right?
