My dog ate my homework??
Hold me, I’m skeered.
There is a PTO meeting tonight and I haven’t done a thing - not one damn thing - on the task I was assigned.
Who the hell did I think I was joining this organization and taking on a PROJECT? Sheesh, now here I am - a 40 year old mother who will be hiding out at home and screening phone calls so the other moms don’t find me tonight.
I could make up a death in the family.
If I was at work, I’d just blame it on my suppliers.
Could I get away with faking amnesia? It always works on TV.
Oh, sure. I don’t have the balls to do any of that. I’ll go in there and tell them how badly I suck and how they never should have trusted me with something important like SPIRIT WEAR and maybe sqeeze a little tear or two out of my eye. Then someone will take the project for me and I’ll be relegated to working the cookie table at the Holiday Bizarre.
