I Redecorated
First I made a new banner. That was easy. I used MS Digital Image Pro Suite 10 and my cool digital scrapbooking bits and made the banner.
Then I put it up and all was good. For a moment.
Then I realized that the beautiful new banner was on an ugly and very clashy background.
So I braved the HTML template. Don’t panic– first, I copied and pasted it into a text file just in case I fucked things up too badly.
I first needed an HTML Color Template, which I found on the wonderful wide web. Then, I tried to read this other language, this HTML of which I know nothing. And when I found something that appeared to be the background (because it said BACKGROUND), I changed the color. Voila’!! It worked.
Of course, then the text was unreadable so I went to every other color label and changed the colors all to white. That was better, but no differentiation so then I was figuring out what other color worked and where the headers were so I could change the header stuff and leave the post text white. I almost broke a sweat.
But I think I got it where I want it. Keep in mind I’m very fickle, though, so if you nice people say it sucks and I should change it back I shall cry and stomp and shake my fists at you and then I’ll no longer have any confidence in my pretty purple made-it-myself thing and I’ll probably go changing it again.
So tell me the truth - do you like it? But only tell me the truth if you DO like it. If you don’t like it, please lie. Or maybe do that thing that my mother used to tell us “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.” But seriously - be honest. OK?
Alright, it’s 9PM and I have to go walk the treadmill and then pull on some thigh high hooker boots with 5″ heels and maybe even a spiked dog collar. And I should hurry, because I’d really like to be asleep by 10:30. I like to get my hooker wifely duties all done by 10:30.
